About me

Hola, I am Montse, the founder of aprendELE.

I am a Spanish-language educator with over 8 years of experience teaching international learners and designing structured learning content.

Through aprendELE, I develop digital resources, including lessons and podcast-based materials, focused on real-world communication, with a strong interest in scalable, learner-centred design, and explore how digital tools and AI can enhance the learning experience.

Lesson Design

I design lessons around learners’ individual goals, ensuring that each session is purposeful, relevant, and aligned with real communicative needs.

My pedagogical approach follows a structured 🖐5-step progression.

pedagogical_approach

1. Objective setting – defining a clear and meaningful learning outcome together with the learner.
2. Content design – developing tailored materials that introduce language in a relevant and contextualised way.
3. Guided practice – engaging in interactive activities that build confidence.
4. Feedback and refinement – providing targeted feedback to support progression and reinforce understanding.
5. Independent application – supporting learners until they can use the language confidently in real-life situations.

This approach ensures that learning is personalised, structured, and focused on practical language use, while also promoting long-term retention.

Example Lesson - Vowels in Spanish

“Learning how sounds work is key to building confidence in speaking and understanding. In Spanish, vowel sounds are consistent, which allows learners to develop accurate pronunciation and reading skills from the beginning.”

Objective – By the end of this lesson, you will be able to recognise and pronounce Spanish vowel sounds accurately and apply them when reading and producing simple words.

Digital Content

On top of lessons, I create interactive digital material that students can use in their own time to keep practising. Try it yourself!👇

Podcast

While teaching GCSE and A-Level Spanish, I identified a gap in students’ knowledge retention, particularly in listening and idea development.

In response, I created a series of short, 6-minute podcast episodes aligned with the AQA curriculum, designed to improve listening skills and support exam preparation.

The format reflects contemporary learning habits, offering accessible and engaging content that complements traditional instruction.

Adaptation & Improvement

Following the podcast's initial launch, I saw limited learner engagement despite a steady number of listeners. To address this, I used analytics tools (e.g., Spotify data) alongside AI-supported insights to evaluate user behaviour and optimise content visibility by improving SEO and metadata.

As a result of these targeted adjustments, the podcast experienced a 250% growth in engagement within one month, demonstrating the impact of data-informed and innovative content strategies.
